On June 12, 2008, the China Duty-Free Hope Fund, jointly sponsored by China Duty-Free (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China National Free Trade Group) and China Youth Development Foundation, was established in Beijing.
At the inauguration ceremony of the “China Tax-Free Hope Fund”, CDFG launched the “Reconstruction Home – China Tax-Free and You Lit Hope” charity fundraising event. On the occasion of the Wenchuan Earthquake in Sichuan, the company advocated all employees, subsidiaries, retail outlets and long-term cooperative international brand suppliers to give their love to the reconstruction of the post-disaster schools and create a “Noah’s Ark” for the students in the disaster area. "To provide children with a safe haven to help them get through the storm as soon as possible."
